Is this scientific?
No. It's a taste read built on a few well-studied preference patterns, for fun. Your scores describe what you reach for right now, not who you are.
Isn't this just a mystery quiz?
Not quite. This one is about the detective: who carries the case, how they crack it, and whose eyes you follow. It doesn't ask how dark you like a story.
Where do the picks come from?
From the detective novels in our own catalog, best known first, with private eyes, amateurs and police detectives all on the shelf. Books you were already shown in another result are skipped, so your list may differ from a friend's. Nothing is sponsored.
Why does it care how I answered?
