The more quizzes you take, the better your picks get.

Any translation or translator first, window or mirror: your taste in fiction from other languages, scored. Real scores from 0 to 100 on each dimension, not a box, and the puck notices how you answer, not only what.

Where you lean right now, as numbers. Each bar runs from one pole to the other.

Questions people ask

Is this scientific?

No. It's a quick read of how you like your translated fiction, for fun. It describes what you reach for right now, not who you are.

What do window and mirror mean here?

A window shows you how life runs somewhere else: the meals, the manners, the jokes you have to work to get. A mirror shows you a feeling you thought was yours alone, written by someone a world away. Most readers want some of each.

What does the hesitation line mean?

The puck notices how you answer, not only what. Where you paused or went back and forth, your taste probably depends on the book. Where you answered fast, you know your mind.

Where do the book picks come from?

From the fiction in our catalog that was first written in another language. The list is the same whatever your lean: your answers shape your scores, not the picks. Nothing is sponsored.
