The more quizzes you take, the better your picks get.

Silent or aloud, front row or in the part, lifelike or theatrical: how you like to read a play on the page, scored. Real scores from 0 to 100 on each dimension, not a box, and the puck notices how you answer, not only what.

Questions people ask

Is this scientific?

No. It's a taste read built on a few well-studied preference patterns, for fun. It says how you like to read a play right now, not how much you know about theatre.

Do I need to go to the theatre?

No. This quiz is about plays on the page: a script read in your head or out loud, at home, for a class or just for fun. Whether you've seen it staged doesn't matter.

Isn't reading aloud the same as picturing yourself in a role?

No. Reading aloud is about hearing the words, and you can do it while picturing the play from a seat in the audience. Picturing yourself in a role is about where you put yourself in the play, out in the audience or up on stage, and it works in total silence. The quiz scores them apart.

Where do the picks come from?

From the well-known plays in our own catalog, from ancient tragedy to the twentieth century. Your answers shape the read, not this list, so every lean sees much the same picks. Nothing is sponsored.
