Tabletop campaign pulse

For game masters mid-campaign: whether the table is still into it, before the group chat goes quiet.

The conviction read: the spread on 'fair share of the spotlight' tells the game master which player is being quietly upstaged. Nobody says it at the table, and the average says everyone is fine.

Questions about this template

When in a campaign should I send it?

Between story arcs, or when attendance starts to slip. Send it before the next session, so you can adjust pacing or the spotlight before the table sits down again.

What do I do with a wide spread on the spotlight item?

It often points to one or two players who feel upstaged while the rest are happy. You won't see who, so give every character a hook over the next few sessions and check whether the spread narrows on the next round.
